Tom has been dedicated to serving clients in the financial service profession for the past 35 years. His experience includes investment and wealth planning for high net worth individuals and small businesses, as well as an extensive background in institutional equity trading. As Director of Investment Strategy for USWM, Tom’s key responsibilities include identifying investment opportunities, determining strategic asset allocation, monitoring investment performance, and communicating investment theses to the firm's advisors.
Throughout his career he has held various leadership positions. Prior to joining U.S. Wealth in 2013, Tom spent 23 years as an institutional equity trader for the Fidelity Investments asset management complex of over 250 funds. During that period, Tom was the head trader for many well-known, multi-billion dollar Fidelity mutual funds including Magellan, Equity Income, Low Priced Stock Fund, Fidelity Fund, and the Midcap Stock Fund. He also spent many years as the trading sector specialist in the technology, media and telecom sector. While at Fidelity, he was an integral part of the investment process and collaborated extensively with portfolio managers and analysts, and was responsible for providing profitable trading ideas and implementing successful trading strategies.
Tom also spent three years in institutional sales trading covering large Boston asset managers as an Associate Director at Macquarie Capital, and as a Vice President at Piper Jaffray. At both firms he provided trading expertise and worked closely with a global research team to generate profitable investment ideas for his clients.
Tom’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts at Gordon College and Boston University’s Center for Professional Education Financial Planning Program. Tom is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®.
